For some of us life is a great mystery

we embrace its dark with its light, seeking a neverending balance

we see the hidden,we hear the whispers of other lives,we stand in the shadows

we watch the joy around us

and in our fractured hearts we raise the hope that maybe one day it will be my turn

to feel the light to feel the joy

but life the everending jokester will cast that illusion to blind you to lull you

as you sit back and your life rolls before your eyes

did i live it like i should have

did i love enough

did i give enough

did i enjoy the pleasures it had to offer

so i stand here once again looking and seeking for something i cant even define

the joy of a raindrop

the sound of the wind

the touch of a lover

the cry of a newborn

the feel of the sun on your face

the taste of the night and the smell of a springday

if its a illusion its a grand design to soften the harsh blows of reatly out of control

i smile and slip my mask back in place and i turn and bow to my life

taking up with the dance once again
