Blood Rain

Poetry By: RayneMarie
Poetry

My writing is based off pure emotion... What you are going to read is from when I was in a depressed state.

The cuts begin to burn,
The bleeding does not stop.
This pain cannot escape here,
Like the door of this room is locked.
The clouds of pain surround me,
And droplets of rain drip down.
The pain begins to intensify,
Yet I don't make a sound.
The thunder roars in my ears,
The lightening blinds my eyes.
To some this might be unbearable,
To me it's no surprise.
I've weathered this storm before,
The rain of blood feels cool.
It runs right down my skin,
And I grin just like a fool.
The pain continues to increase;
The thunder soon subsides.
The blood rain cleanses my soul
From the emotions I tend to hide.
The lightening soon goes dull,
My face is stained with blood.
I'm lying on my floor
Looking like I just got through a flood.
I try so hard to remember
This past hour's events.
My mind sits there in wonder,
As I start to recollect.
I remember all the rain,
The storm becoming me.
I feel the pain that is yet to come;
My death is all I see.
The blood that pours from my wrist
Stops as it began.
From all the blood that has dried
My arm is severly tanned.
My slate however,
Has been cleaned.
Though it has been done so
With hands of uncertainty.
My debt has been repaid,
Though soon my blood runs cold.
I know for sure this'll happen again,
The feeling of it is bold...
