She slits her wrists
For every sorrow.
They start to bleed
Like there's no tomorrow.
But she feels no pain,
She's used to it.
Just like she's used to
Being abused and being hit.
She looks in her mirror
And says a small prayer.
So she can get where she's going
Without wear and tear.
She sits herself down
And waits for the end.
Her last minutes on Earth,
The road's final bend.
With no one to care,
She crys to herself.
Because no one was there
To offer their help.
The tears start to fall
Her objective not reached.
The sleeve on her arm
Soaks up blood like a leech.
It wasn't the right place
Nor the right time.
She puts the blade down
At a quarter till nine.
The light in her eyes
Had finally faded.
From all her cuts
She just looked so jaded.
It was love that held her
In this sad sad place.
And the overwhelming feeling
Of all of God's grace.
She never believed
That love was real.
Until that fateful day
His soft skin she would feel.
But he broke her heart
Though she thought he was it.
But his heart said no,
While he kept her tricked.
Now she sits her depressed
With no one to care
Not knowing all of
The pain she must bear.
She picks up the blade
To finish her task.
She writes him a note
Her final goodbye, at last.
Her pain melts away
She feels no more.
Her senses are dulled
With the sadness she bore.
No life left to give
Her own choice to die.
At last she had said
Her final goodbye.
