Fishing Haiku

fishing excitement great,
landing one is fun,
to the water I must go,

on the bank I do stand,
baiting my hook and casting the pole,
watching for line dance,

moments of time tick,
awaiting a fish to bite,
fishing pole jerking,

pulling to set the hook,
the fishing line is pulling my drag,
excitement flows,

seeing the big fish swimming,
pulling it to the waters edge,
grab the fish to unhook,

~*~

pushing the stringer through,
wonderful fish finally caught,
to the pan he goes so tasty.
