My Lily

This yellow lily standing resolute,

a symbol of Hera's life giving breast milk,

seeking the sun's light,

gleaming a yellow tone so bright,

a symbol of purity,

and the reflection of chastity,

versed by the Virgin Mary,

is the white Easter Lily,

a representation of Christ's resurrection,

and the passing to a heavenly place,

thy flower of beauty grows,

with a long pistil to show,

my lily, medicine to my soul,

bloom brightly and hide my blackened hole.
