Oh my, Rain
Oh my, rain,
why not shadow me?
your drops of life,
fall to grace my feet n' soul.
Oh my, rain,
why so soothing?
cleanse the earth,
fall to greet things a new.
Oh my, rain,
why so life-giving?
sprouts spring forward,
fall to make blooms your cue.
Oh my, rain,
why so imperfect?
scattered drops, the blossom you protect,
fall to give life its due.
Oh my, rain,
why you must go?
rivers of life you treat,
fall of musical fife, white rapids do spring,
Oh my, rain,
why a piccolo?
song of unchained melody,
fall to sleep no weeping, comfort in snoring you bring.
