Your Unrealistic Expectations

No matter what I achieve,

You will never believe,

That I did it of my own accord.

You will simply confess

That you always knew best,

My success came from being bored.

I forever try to please,

My pride is a disease,

And you still won't see my goal.

Yes, I long to impress,

Show that I know best,

But you push me back into this hole.

Maybe one day I will,

With my strength and my skill,

Introduce a worthy creation.

And I'll wait for that day,

And I'll hope and I'll pray,

That I'll fulfil your expectation.
