Lonely man seeks...

My warrior

Chasing over fields

Arms exhorting uprising

Jaws that could tear down prison walls

Tongue that lashes the enemy

As it hurls courage towards our rallying troops

My playmate

Giggling in my arms

Whirling in wild frenzy

Giddy with abandon

Tapping me in time to her jokes

On day trips back to a shared childhood

We return renewed for adult struggle

My companion

It is exquisite pity we may not fuse

But we overlap where we can

A touch here, a squeeze there

We multiply by intimacy

And eyes agree across crowded rooms

Whoever survives must eat the other
