Drowning In Him

By She'Davia Williams

Running

Screaming

Calling out for Help

Falling

Drowning

No one comes to save me.

My hands above the water

I'm trying to hold on

But somehow I cant seem to find

Where my stength has gone

My body's becoming weaker

As I sink way down deep

I feel him pulling at my legs

But he doesnt make a sound

He's talked to me before

So he wont show himself again

Just the fact that I'm in the water

Shows that I'm close to letting him win

My hands have gone down under

Only the fingertips exposed

He's dancing at the bottom

thinking he's my "home sweet home"

I try to bring myself back up

But he just yanks me even harder

With this last pull

He has me

He's won

I am no longer

He cradles me in his arms

Whispering that everything is going to be okay

He knows he's done the right thing

And that he drowned me

To let me escape.

yeah I know

Incredibly esoteric.
Beautiful poetry, unfortunately it came from the mind of a hurt soul.
