The Nothingness In Me

Poetry By: ReflectingeyE

A dark poem recalling a now lonely individuals downfall. Inspired by a relationship that had very much gone sour.

Where once light had shone as bright as any star,

And love and life exuded visibly from afar,

Now is but an empty void as barren as can be,

For loving you resulted in the nothingness in me.

The nothingness it seems forever grows within,

Smothering my soul and feeding on the sin,

Soon there shall not remain an ounce of me at all,

And the nothingness you left is all that I'll recall.

This dark and lonely life is now my eternal hell,

Heaven is so far away since trapped within this cell,

But as I succumb to nothingness one thing I know is true

None of it compares to the nothingness in you.
