A Song Buried in Silence

Silence is underrated,

People don’t care about the untold.

They think that we always say what we feel;

Well, they are obviously wrong.

You’re probably one of them

I won’t mind if you do,

But you know nothing about the things

My silence has to tell you!

If I could both speak and reveal

What I want you to hear,

It would be a prayer, not that big,

Like a song I’d like to sing.

I want to be the one for you,

To embrace, kiss you, hold your hand,

I want to care about you,

And to protect you against any harm,

I want to know that out there,

Someone is dreaming of me and you,

And all the other people to know,

That we’re one instead of two.

Is there any of the above

That you would like as well to have?

I am afraid I’ll never learn,

Have no intention to ask or tell,

I guess it’s gonna be hidden there,

Inside my silence, quite safe,

All there are things I want to say,

But I’ll be silent, instead.
