Man's Best Friend by Revera Love

The cage door slams,

Creaks in the night.

Man's voice calls,

Begs for a fight.

His teeth are bared.

His muscles torn.

Dark thoughts inside,

His curse, being born.

The warrior stands.

Nails scratch the floor.

Broken hearts,

We see no more.

His body ripped, charred and smeared.

The staples seal his eyes.

Blood still drips upon the floor.

Here, Man's best friend dies.
