Hey KT. I thought it was cool that the explaination of a Haiku happened to BE a Haiku! More of a discovery than a piece of finely tuned work! Take care. Ricky.

Oh God!!!! "Duhhhhh" LOL HaHa
I didn't even notice that part.
Now I feel stupid. oh-well ^smiles and laughs^

HAHA! Don't worry...it's the sort of thing I do too! If you make it too obvious it might seem like you're patronising,
so I kept it a little discreet. Ricky.

rickyengland:

Most succinct and informative. Gave it an "I Like It" vote.

Happy trails,

Ed Bradley.

It sort of fell into place really, no great plan!! Thanks Brian.

Leave it to you, Ricky!! Thanks for the chuckle this morning. You know I LOVE Haiku and now with this haiku of yours explaining the true structure of a traditional haiku... there should be no excuses for not reading or understanding it!! LOL Wishing you days of happy writing.....Jerry

Honestly, I wasn't trying for the longest title in Booksie history! Thank you Anna!

HA! Great job and very correct! I love Haiku. Tell me, what is your opinion of poems made up of a series of Haiku? Individually they can stand alone, but together they form a longer story. I know its not traditionally correct, but I like them. Thanks for a great poem. - Rose @~

Hi GypsyRose. I was reading a bit about a Japanese 17th century philosopher/traveller called Mitsuo Basho, who is described as a Haiku master. It's certainly an interesting
form of expression. I don't know too much about the form.
It was Jerry (Gerabel) on Booksie who got me inspired to try it. Joined up Haikus I think are good if done well. Thanks for your comments and keep in touch. Ricky.
