SENSORY NONSENSE

Poem By: rickyengland
Poetry

I'm sure you will become aware of several made up words
within this poem. The idea was to express the wonders of
nature through a childs eyes. Children have that amazing
capacity to describe what they see with their own visionary
language... innocent, amusing, and profound. The photograph is one I took of Queens View near Pitlochrie, Scotland. View table of contents...

SENSORY NONSENSE

I tasted the world in the palm of an eye,

Mountains of mystery steeper than I,

Scenery sandy, greenery grand,

I heard all the earth in the blink of a hand.

Where daywake arrives with a colourful ease,

To garnish with sunpaint the salady trees,

Where dogs in their cat-less-ness barkily run,

As flowers rise upply to chew on the sun,

Where birds full of songshine go flappily by,

Sailing the blue of an everywhere sky,

Where rabbits go looking for nothing to kill,

As sheep glue their feet to the side of a hill,

Where rivers run leg-less to be where they must,

As winds dizzy backwardly gusterly blust,

Where paths through the forest go looking for signs,

Swerving and curving their way through the pines.

I tasted the world in the palm of an eye,

Mountains of mystery steeper than I,

Scenery sandy, greenery grand,

I heard all the earth in the blink of a hand.

Very well conceived and written. Beautiful imagery and a lovely 'skipperty bounce' to it.

This is brilliant! Colorful, smooth and full of lively imagery of a very bold and original nature.

This should be "featured writing".

Hi HAM! That's good. It's supposed to be a happy piece. A place where our mind can escape to every now and then.
Keep up your writing too! Ricky.
