A shot to the brain
A jolt to the heart
Living a sweet dream
Now awoke with a start
She told him lies

Who ever thought
That their love would die?
Years of peace
A sudden release
Plethora of tears
To start the New Year

Behind her angel eyes

Clutching his fists
