Lonely star

I'm just a lonely star,

that hates the way things are.

I'm trapped in the dead of space,

That really is a desolate place.

But my molten heart does sing,

As I look down at everything.

Earth is wonderful, beautiful too,

With continents green, and splashes of blue.

Brewing storms and clouds of white,

Summers day, winters night.

Oh I wish I could visit you,

on your little planet of blue.

But for now I'll just sit a weep,

Watching the earth fall to sleep.
