Generations of drip-fed misery -
Taking comfort in grim familiarity.
Hopelessness masquerading as defiance -
A piss-wet town with no umbrellas.
Faces soaked in disappointment -
Not daring to care.
Streets long dead but still existing -
More funerals than weddings.
Showers give way to downpours of horror -
Bleak pain dulled by Valium.
Puddles reflect grey obscurity...
"Paisley - a proud past and a bright future".
