Oh, where would we be?
Teachers help you see
If there were no teacher,
We would be what stupid creatures
Teachers prepare us for the future,
By teaching us about the past
They help us indirectly make the righteous choice
From being polite, to raise our hand and how to speak up, make others hear our voice
Teachers may seem unimportant to teens,
So may English to medieval times to means,
Teachers influence us, even if it doesn’t seem so,
From how the earth works, how we live, to the cause of snow
They help us learn,
Though we may not yearn,
How to support ourselves; get a good job we earn
We wouldn’t know half the things today
If teachers weren’t at school almost everyday
Teachers rarely get the thanks they deserve
From a veterinarian to a Marine in the reserve
Without teachers, our lives wouldn’t be the same
From electricity, to predicting when it rains
So from not going to school we should refrain
Teachers put up with so much, yet they’re still sane
So next time you see a teacher, take just a minute to say
Thanks for their service, and they will appreciate your gratitude and remember you
As the student that meant something to them
For without teachers,
we would be what pitiful creatures
