                                                      LIFESONG

 And someone said               um

And there was a bingbangingroarmightyroaring

With planets varooming and comets kazooming

And whirling and twirling and spinningupspirals

And dinglingdangles and spingylingspangles

And searing and sizzling

And redredhot twizzling

And someone said               er

And there was a gushrushingpouringoutfoaming

With fallingdown whooshings and throwingup hooshings

And fireflamingfuming and icycoldfreezing

And splitting and splatting and creaking and cracking

And bloodyhardboneing

And someone said                oh

And there was a cleaving and clutching and clamping

With heavings and humpings and slithery squealings

And uppingsanddownings and iningsandoutings

And goldenygreenings and purplybreathings

And leechings and leanings

And allinbetweenings

And someone said                hey

O I have it I've got it O bell start your ringing

With pinging and dinging and drummings and strummings

And poundingoutthoudings of ecstasyglorings

And flaggysallwaving and mammysallraving

And gunbangs all booming

And pinkymushrooming

And there was a                     silence

Excellent. It read like a mad Dr. Seuss for adults. You are truly talented.

Well, you have just made my day! This was one of those poems drove me over the edge. I was mad as hell when I wrote it, as I was with Death of a Soldier, but this one resisted my various attempts to pull it together until I got the rhythm in my head. Once again, your comments have made the effort truly worthwhile. Thank you so much.

It sounds like the mad symphony in my head!! Great atmosphere, RM. I have this same roaring in my head that will manifest in the pages of my new novel Joubert. Thank you for your work. You are an evocative, thought inspiring artist. Thanks for your previous comments. Keep on Demonstrating!!!!!!!!

Pleased you read LIFESONG. It is a sound poem, you're right about that, meant to be read out loud. I'll look forward to reading Joubert.

A twisted nursery rhyme for adults. Not bad at all.

Thank you, thank you. This was inspired by a number of things such as the stupidity of our leaders and not least of which was James Joyce. He combines words in wonderfully unique ways. I wanted this to be image-heavy so that last line would really resonate! I'm honored to peer into your brain! Wow! Fascinating!! You go, girl!

Thanks again. Roisin

Thanks, Classy Peach, (love the ID by the way). I'm pleased you read Lifesong and could relate! As another writer commented, "A twisted nursery rhyme for adults." Hmmm! Appreciate the honor of your comment very much.

Thank you for reading Lifesong. It was written as a poem to be read out loud, hence the title, although some of the phrases are a bit tongue twisty. Much appreciate the comments.
