When hope seems noir
when fear eclipses light

When hope seems noir

when fear eclipses light

when sun is cleaved

when wolf howls at his moon

when days collide with unwoken dreams

inside falters the flickering flame

losing its way and blocking the vein

When all living seems sterile

when nothing holds meaning

when sweet cake tastes sour

when sweet wine tastes bitter;

no longer to bask in the sun

not caring if one cannot run.

Fight the devil's forks

piercing the flesh

fighting his laughter

that curses your soul;

Pouring water over his fire

tasting the coolness

of your desire.
