Life is a Lie :"/

Poetry By: RubyRose81196

Just something I wrote when I was feeling sentimental (lol)
It's basically just describing life from being being, well, started (for want of a better word) until you become a teenager (around 14, my age) and realise that nothing you have done so far has really meant much, because it is only just beginning...

Life is a lie.

It sneaks up from behind

and grabs innocent victims

By the throat.

They are then removed

to the survival skills chamber.

Several months later,

they are ready for pain,

so they make their own way

into the death chamber.

From there, they forge their own path

through the thick jungle.

Then, 14 years later,

they reach what may seem a clearing.

Freedom at last!

Then they realise

that is in fact solid rock.

Four years after this,

they have been forging

their way through the thick rock,

but with the help of others.

Then, they realise

it only gets harder from here.
