Shaam ka sitaara tha
Raat ka ishaara tha
Donon haath khaali thay
Paaon mein lukeerain theen
Aankhon k pas e manzar
Dhundali tasveerain theen
Khoj k par’aao mein
Be nishaan munzil thi
Pyar mein bheegi hunsi
Zindagi ka haasil thi
Soch ke muqqadar main
Judnoo-on ki jhilmil thi
Aaanchlon pe ph’aili hoi
Aanso-on ki jalthal thi
Phoolon ke perhun pe
Bhool jaisay kaantay thay
Khushbo-on si booli ne
Saare dukh to baante thay
Dil koi bunjaara tha
Dhoop k kinaare pe
Shaam ka sitaara tha
Raat ka ishaara tha!

The heart was a like a traveler…
Touching the edges of sunshine…
Was the star of the sunset…
Beckoning the arrival of night….
Both hands were empty…
Yet the feet were full of fate lines…
Behind the vision of eyes…
Were imprinted, many blurred images…
The destiny of thoughts was illuminated…
By the twinkling of fireflies…
While, the veils were soaked in…
Tears rains…
At the resting phases of the journey…
Were several unknown destinations…
Like the smiles drenched in love…
Were like the true happiness of the life…
Though flowers’s dresses …
Had prickles of forgetfulness…
Yet, the fragrance of some words…
lightened all the grievous feelings…
The heart was a like a traveler…
Touching the edges of sunshine…
Was the star of the sunset…
Beckoning the arrival of night….
