I am always watching, waiting
Always loving, never hating
I am there when you’re alone
I know you, your every bone
You hide in darkness, try to be
Something else, you can’t fool me
Just trust me, I can help you out
I’ll show you what life’s all about
In the dark you won’t find me
But I am there, you just don’t see
And in the day, I am there too
But I am never seen by you
Although I lie so deep inside
There is a way I can be eyed
But when you catch a glimpse, you see,
You hardly ever notice me
You hate yourself, you have no clue
I know you more than you know you!
Your masks are what you have become
The light is what you’re hiding from
You never really know I’m there
Forgotten, I’m like breathing air
So naturally, I will remain
The only way you can be sane
But you were meant for more than this
I see through masks and dark abyss
I see potential, you can be
A star so bright, as bright as me
I’m beautiful and good and strong
You often think that I am wrong
But I am truth and I am love
And you and me fit like a glove
I’m part of you, now don’t you see?
Come to the light, I’ll set you free
I’ll tell you who you really are
Your perception’s off by far
You’re beautiful and strong and good
You look exactly as you should
Stop hiding in the dark, afraid
Enjoy exactly how you’re made
And now that you know what to be
I’ll tell you what I know of me
I am yours, you make me whole
You’re my body; I’m your soul.
Ps: I was partially inspired by the CS Lewis quote, "You don't have a soul, you are a soul: you have a body."
Hurray! :)
