That Faded Friendship

Poetry By: Savannah Ray

Losing your childhood best friend is difficult especially when you dont even know what went wrong.

We were like sisters, inseparable from the start. Spent all our time together, never to part. All those hours on the phone driving our parents crazy. It all seemed so right - best friends forever. Feelings we had for each other in that special way... Wanting you as my friend every single day. Then my world turned to darkness. We were no longer friends, but enemies. It all happened so fast not knowing what went wrong. Hoping it all wouldn't last....at least not very long. Till this day we still do not speak. A new best friend we now each must seek. Deep down I long for that answer to bring us together once more. We both made our own mistakes. Those that can never be corrected. To make a fresh start is impossible. We have both been hurt to much. The only thing left is our memories.... Those that were and could have been. I still wish you the best in all that you do. I am only hoping that you are thinking of me too.
