I am not my mother!

Is it not obvious?

So stop complaining,

Stop comparing,

And stop telling me what to do,

'cause I'm not my mother.

She's different,

I'm different.

I have my own goals to pursue.

Yes she's successful,

Yes she's brilliant.

But that doesn't mean

that I'm also like her!

In life itself,

What ever the tree,

Is not the fruit,

'Cause we are all unique.

So stop it,

Stop making me feel inferior,

And love me for being different,

'Cause that's who I am,

And I will love you the same.

If you don't,

Then I have a question for you...

Why aren't you like your mother?
