“Light at Night”

 

O world so great,

O world of might,

You close your gate,

At time of night.

 

The stars are there,

So is the moon,

To come to care,

For me so soon.

 

But shadows lie,

For darkness is here,

For fear goes by,

As bold as the deer.

 

Although at night,

I dream for light,

But nightmares fight,

To take my light.

 

But even if

The shadows are here,

My heart is lift,

There’s light somewhere.
