A cry for help, falls against the deaf ears of a mirror.

As her lips lean against the lake

A ripple animates the reflected moon

But it is not liquid she seeks

Her throat is far from dry

This reservoir is deep with mercury

She drinks to access death

With heavy splash she falls

Soaked in mirror, she sinks

No drama ensues

Soon the awoken moon falls still

The poison carries her deep

Laying her against the sea bed

Her eyes still open

But paralyzed by the sting of death

Internal voices cease

Cares are soon forgotten

An owl, steady on branch

Curious to see bubbles

Places wing on head

To scratch in wonder
