Life

with its first yawn and hungry eyes

Childhood love and lullaby's

Life

with cosmetic blush and coloured stick

White handkerchief and head fuck trick

Life

with its pretty bows and clever knots

Love forever and forget me shots

Life

with its stay pressed tongue and tuned whit

Saliva loaded and ready to spit

Life

with its moments of chemical rage

Captured drama revealed on a stage

Life

with its daily transmissions of all that is real

Different in texture to how it should feel

Life

with its mirror and light revealing the sea

Roots in a tangle propose Adam's tree

Life

with its grey wrinkles and lined hair

Asleep at the wheel, on a rocking chair

Life

with its timetable of must share breath

Full stop conclusion, suspended by death

Life

with its notice of closure stuck to a door

Life...............doesn't live any more

Death

with its dark veil and entombed shell

Mute to the sound of the sombre knell

Death

with its lack of promise

................................................Delivers
