Bid for freedom..

With spirit washed
and folded against a field of grey
I select mute,
... watch a silent world through tears
Eyes fall heavy
I greet a now, slow heart rate
My constant pulse
with excitement and sadness shared

Squeezed through
lashes gripped tight
A cold tear
escapes my secret place
Exposed; free...
allowed to travel void of fear
A trail left
although time erases proof

My tongue
traces the salt
Translates the freedom
I will never know
