It's over

You allowed dust to gather on our once warm bed

Were happy to chase the lure of the coin instead

Our love became a statue, with dull sunken eyes

Void of truth, moulded in the form of your lies

My heart grew hard to the punches you threw

My eyes refused to blink, while turning blue

You allowed my tears to leave my cheeks wet

Were happy to smile, knowing of my upset

Our love became a fruit abandoned and forgotten

Void of care and allowed to turn rotten

My heart is still just about able to beat

My eyes see eveytime you cheat

You allowed a cloak of darkness to finally fall

Were happy for the shade to leave me feeling small

Our love became a dead deer riddled with lead shot

Void of your attention, something you soon forgot

My heart knows it deserves another

My eyes seek more, much more than a lover
