Guilty

Debris of deceit

snaps under foot

Sounds of treachery

fuels my walk

I will not rest

nor know my journey complete

Until each sole

strides the moss of true charity

A distant rainbow

whispers a wet invite

A spectrum of reason

deep with invention

I kneel before

her lucid wisdom

Yearn for each splash

to cleanse my suspicion

Allowed to dry

in the winds of change

I walk away

spiritually reborn

The snap under foot

mute and distant

Is part of my past

absent in my future
