Woven into the silk

of her delicate wings

and......Brushed against her pale

yet happy cheeks

Was the tinsel of magic

The chippings of pure illusion

Stitched into her bodice

that wraps her silver dress

and......Amongst the finest leather

that created her pre-pointe shoes

Was the warmth of magnetism

The touch of the scented spell

Painted within

her perfect smile

and......Worn with the coloured beads

that lay woven in her hair

Was the lost dream of childhood

The delicate tale of the fairy

I see it as a story of lost innocence, in which the world is one big fairytale. But that fragile view disappears once we grow up and see how ugly everything really is. But the painful loss of innocence is expressed so beautifully in this poem. You put the magnificence in the pain, because we're also gaining knowledge and becoming better people as we grow up. :) I enjoyed this.

Corect and every generation behind us are touched by her tale.

You have a way of putting the words so nicely. Imagination for this story comes flying out of my head--it's an amazing feeling. Keep it up!
