The heart bleeds

narrow streams of aching red

stalling as they negotiate time

The heart bleeds

songs of a smile infected past

turn the handle of memory

The heart bleeds

histories page left ajar

as the photo invites tears

The heart bleeds

her beauty departs

upon the unsteady wings of change

The heart bleeds

the giddy stage of life

throws another actor into the crowd of death

My bleeding heart

a pulse that shows I care

a pump, a beat

a rhythm from here back to there

"her beauty departs
upon the unsteady wings of change"

That is such beautifully written line.
It has such an incredible impact, thanks to the repeated line... a line, most certainly, filled with powerful emotion. I am so impressed; this is just...wow.

Much love
Ash
