Her recent deceit, now seen as my friend........

Her kiss left

refuses to dry

I try to digest

her parting lie

Her words were weapons

sharp with intent

Dismantling the illusion

of what we meant

The wound in my heart

starts to slowly bleed

Her recent deceit

the first planted seed

Yet her beauty haunts

and confuses my dreams

Maybe her evil

isn't all it seems?

The ache cosumes

the pain won't retreat

I hold the phone

demanding we meet

The wound in my heart

still slowly bleeds

Her recent deceit

one of many planted seeds

Her smile greets

then recoils like a snake

Heavy make up

can not conceal she is fake

Every promise made

begins to silently melt

I can now erase

every feeling I felt

The wound in my heart

starts to slowly mend

Her recent deceit

now seen as my friend
