Misuse of magic part 1.

I ask where you've been hiding

for the last year

You motion with your wrist

and make me disappear

I always suspected you hid tricks

up your sleeve

But couldn't believe it was magic

to make me leave

"You're only a novice"

I whisper in your ear

I have a secret

for you my dear

I'm a seasoned wizard

been in the circle for ever

I've stirred a potion

that locks our hearts together

And so we sleep

united in illusion

Void of reality

caged from intrusion

Our arms tangled

our souls at peace

Both agreed

our love shall never cease

Yet sand falls

in tubes of glass

Unregulated

and far too fast

Entwined fingers

violently twitch

You announce your promotion

to fully fledged witch

Helpless I watch

the broom take flight

As you exit

the fold of my night

I ask where you'll be hiding

fighting back tears

Air chokes my words

and never reaches your ears
