Wishing Upon My Special Star

Faith in a star, that catches the childhood eye.

A perfect circle

from afar

Burning white

my little star

Upon paper

I write a wish and prey

Tilt my head

and send her way

She is kind

views this planet blue

Smiles and grants

my demand true

On fire,

my sun far away

Lends light to my smile

every day

Using magnification

to scan the skies above

Her location reveals

awaxed pearl of love

My faraway jewel

emitting hope

Captured glory

in the lens of a scope

My gaze of gratitude

travels the night

Helps her to shine

forever bright
