Within the narrow space between happy and sad.

Within the narrow space between

The veil of youth and the wonder dream

Travels a stream of scented sorrow

A damp memory left to leak into tomorrow

My naked feet, travel to stay still

My prison, a room created by free will

Within the narrow space glows

A stark reminder of the path I chose

Moths gather disturbing the light

Frantic wings dent the fabric of night

My oil sodden fear exposed and raw

My certainty, now relabelled unsure

Within the narrow space floats

Buoyant hope and hole ridden boats

Repair needed but where to begin?

Decoded signals shout, "start to swim"

My compass confused, mercury tossed

My map of purpose eternally lost

Within the narrow

Space

You'll find

Only me

and a

confused mind
