Looking in
Wondering if she’ll
Ever fit in
The laughter echoes
From against the walls
And the emptiness inside her
Makes her feel small
Insignificant and unworthy
Are the feelings of this girl?
Because she knows she’ll never
Fit into “their” world
But Jessica you
Are a beautiful girl
Don’t feel insignificant or small
Because you complete my world
Our friendship brings
So much happiness to my heart
And I always miss you
When we are apart
Your smiles and laughter
Make my heart light
And you don’t know how proud I am
To watch you spread your wings to take flight
Just believe in yourself
And all the goodness within
Take a leap of faith
And spread those wings
Follow your heart
And keep love as your goal
And I’ll watch the skies
When your wings unfold
So don’t feel sad
And please don’t cry
Because one day you’ll spread your wings
And will fly
In the clouds
No pain, no sorrow – you’ll rise above
And you’ll be wrapped in the comfort
Of God’s endless love.
