Black on black violence whats the reason

Young boy shot on the ave; he aint breathing

Mom and pops in distress

The whole family mourns when they see his obituary in the press

The #1 agent of death in the hood is the gun

And im talking about young boys who never sees the age of 21

Whats sad of all that this is my generation

Looking behind bars all I see is black faces

Im not trying to preach man, but tell the truth

Before the black face behind bars could end up being you

One, 21 Guns
Lay down your arms
Give up the fight
One, 21 Guns
Throw up your arms into the sky
You and I ...

I can rap about the whips I never drive

Or how we all are on the block on our grind

But that seems like the easiest

If my raps arent promoting the greater good then my words are meaningless

Im not the next pac or nas

But this rap right here will be for a greater cause

Im not trying to preach man, but tell the truth

Before the black face behind bars could end up being you

One, 21 Guns
Lay down your arms
Give up the fight
One, 21 Guns
Throw up your arms into the sky
You and I ...
One, 21 Guns
Lay down your arms
Give up the fight
One, 21 Guns
Throw up your arms into the sky
You and I ...
