Another Life Taken

Poetry By: SGBanks

I wrote this poem for the boy who was shot by the neighborhood watch. It was truly uncalled for and I don't believe whatsoever that it was self defense. My prayers go out to the boy and his family.

Someone chech the crime rate

Out goes the yellow tape

I mean he was only 17

Just started living life with a handful of dreams

But one shot took all that away

Foor his cold motionless carcus we prey

That to be absent from the body is to be present from with the lord

Didn't live by the gun but died by somebody else's sword

So I ask that person are you contempt

Cause before you pulled the trigger he begged for his life off of his own whim

You say it was defense, I say its bullshit

Now he just another one whose life was ended 2 quick

I could wish death upon you but two wrongs don't make right

So for as long as you live I want you to remember that your the one who took this boy's life
