Do you still think about me?

Poetry By: SGBanks
Poetry

I wrote this a month or two ago and I feel comfortable putting this poem out. I wrote this to Kendrick Lamar's Sing About Me/ Im Dying of Thirst beat off of his album good kid, MAAD City. If you haven't had the chance to do so yet or have not heard of Kendrick Lamar, I recommend that you listen to this album. It tells his whole life story and you will understand it the more you listen to it.

When the lights go off
Tell me, do you still think about me?
Do you still think about me?
When your on your knees for prayer
Tell me, do you still think about me?
Do you still think about me?
When your with other boys
Tell me, do you still think about me?
Do you still think about me?

Do I pop up your on your mind

Like you do in mine

When I visit places that we been

All those memories just comes flooding in

I understand that you left cause you needed time to be you

To do all the things tiime never allowed you

Yet your absence still leaves a hole in my soul

Will it be filled, only time will show

But this one question keeps ushering in my mind

When the lights go off
Tell me, do you still think about me?
Do you still think about me?
When your on your knees for prayer
Tell me, do you still think about me?
Do you still think about me?
When your with them other boys
Tell me, do you still think about me?
Do you still think about me?

Then again I must thank you though

Cause time with you only allowed me to grow

Thank you for giving me your time and attention

Something most girls didn't

And also letting me have the chance to get

To know who you are

To share your dreams and aspirations

To support you the best way I could

Mentally and physically in confrontations

I feel like I did my best... Do you?

Tell me, do you still think about me?
Do you still think about me?
Tell me, do you still think about me?

Do you still think about me?
