Sinful Lust ft. Jhene Aiko

Poetry By: SGBanks
Poetry

I wrote this poem based off a scenario I just randomly thought of. This poem is written from the perspective of a boy who gets with a girl just to sleep with her, which leads to his end. I got my hook and beat from Kendrick Lamar's Growing Apart from his Section 80 album. Check it out :)

Where are we going?
Why are we slowing?
Where are we going?

We should be growing now?

Im so sorry to tell you this

But your just a victim

A name added to my list of many sins

What you thought was real

Was not meant to be

Even I hate myself for making you

A one night opportunity

Taking your innocence

Something I could never give back

And when you get with that next man

I hope you think of me and look back

And remember what I put you through

Believe me, all men are not the same

Its just that playa mentality

That bad boy persona that woman want

That made me relevant to the game

Yet I feel sorry for the next

For he has to skate on thin ice

The one who has to re-break the walls

You put up to keep people like me from getting inside

And though I can't take back what I done...

Dang...

Where are we going?
Why are we slowing?
Where are we going?

We should be growing now?

While her heart in pieces

My mind is put back together like a puzzle

We just do them, we don't love them

Thats what my friend tell me

But the ingredients I mixed in

Already has me feeding on a deadly recipe

And before my pen runs out of ink

I hope my words reaches the minds of young men

To get them to think before the act

Every action has a reaction

And mine got me off track

Or maybe headed to the after life

This is real no sy-fy

I would erase my mistakes but

The eraser broke

Its too late and my time is up

Wait....

Who's black chevy is this rolling up???

(GUN SHOTS)
