Success Made

Poetry By: SGBanks

This poem is a little personal but I think there are people out there that can relate to this as well. It's like the more successful one get the more obstacles that are put in one's path

Success Made

Skeptical opinions and negativity all around me

At least thats what I see

Why stand in the way of my success?

Your just smart and lucky

No, im smart and blessed

Just to be where I am, to be all I can

I want weight to my name like beach sand

Langston Angelou dreams but im Picasso with the pen

Sipping and swallowing on the ills of my gen (generation)

Time is ticking away, no time to waste

I'm out here paving the way for the kids of today

Like my idealistic poetic verses my sucess will be concrete

It could be the year 2035 and my poems would never become obsolete

Before I say goodbye to this world and be laid in my grave

Best believe ill be defined in two words:

"Success Made"
