Where were you when I needed you most
When my birthdays came
You didnt send one gift, card, or note
All I would do is sit and cry by the window pane
Where were you when things got rough?
And mom couldnt pay the rent
You ran when things got tough
While mom was smart and strong enough to make things click
Where were you for my biggame?
I scored the winning point in the last round
They even called my name
But your pressence was nowhere to be found
Where were you when I got accepted into the best college in the state
Mom threw me a party
But you couldnt make it cause she said your schedule had you working late
Do u expect me to believe that hardly
Where were you when I got a major job and up on my own two feet
Oh wait thats right at my door
Begging and pleading to stay with me
You was kicked out your house with nothing but your name and nothing more
Why should I show sympathy
You was never there for us
After all this time all you can say is sorry
But like all you have to earn my trust
But just know sorry could never be a parent to me
You want me to forget in this time and age
But wat u done has left too many scars
Just for me to turn the page
*To future fathers please know that a kid can have a baby, but it takes a man to raise one*
