I play the game. I have lost so long. But that will all change now...

Another tedious match, Another hopeless round, I've always lost before, And until victory, I am bound. I move on the board, As a simple pawn, Basically useless, When a blade is drawn. I've played the game before, And been defeated every time, Submitted to the power, The final strike's fatal burn. But this time, I was done. Fed up with all the loss, With the pieces finally set, I was going to beat the boss. I countered every move, I knew where he would try, I was ready for his power, But with my plan, they will die. The game was finally over, In one more move, I seal his fate. I end it with my own blow, It was over. It's Checkmate.
