A short poem about destruction...

We cry our tears, and hope for naught, Our shoulders bowed, Our hearts torn open, For now upon the beating ground, Resonates a dreadful sound, That full of portent and of woe Shakes the world unto its soul. As heaven's judgment hits our crown, And sunders all unto the ground, Our faith, a lie, torn and broken, Is cast aside in dire rage, Where worlds were burned and souls controlled, Lies our newest fate untold.
