12.12.12 Reflections for Gran 'du Plessis'
God sent lightning and showers
To prepare for the day.
The rain poured down for hours
Drenching and cleaning on its way.
When the cleaning was done right through,
The clouds rested in relief above;
And the sun's rays shone right through,
Like God's hand wearing a washing up glove.
Below the sky fields were flooded,
Cradling still pools of perfect glass;
Holding photographs of heaven,
Captured in the water on the grass.
Then one of God's gorgeous birds
Danced in the crystal treasure;
Making the water shimmer,
Holding heaven on earth with pleasure.
