“Once in a lifetime”
I’ve heard that before.
“Never again”
I know the score.
I searched, I tried,
Yet nothing inspired
Nothing stood out;
Left simply, uninspired.
I lived the day
The one and only date
Stuck doing work
That just couldn’t wait.
The magical moment.
It passed me by...
And I don’t have time
To even ask why...
