I don't like

I don't like:

Your blind ego trips,

Your desire for control and power;

Where home is your kingdom

And you're owed by the hour.

I don't like:

The way you patronise,

Both your daughters and I;

Reducing our emotive strength

To boost your ego high.

I don't like:

Your all-consuming selfishness,

When you expect it all

Just to be at your door;

Regardless of us; by your law.

I don't like:

Your ingrained chauvinism,

That you're never in awe

Of the exquisite perfection,

In our feminism, in our all.

I don't like:

Your oozing arrogance,

That tells me I'm a mess,

That tells me I'm useless;

Nothing but a pretty picture, pointless.

I don't like:

Your high libido,

That uses me like an island;

An isolated space for you,

When you feel like poking around.

I don't like:

Your successful life,

Where everything goes to plan;

Yours: Achievement; mine: disappointment;

From wherever I stand.

I don't like:

That society has taught,

That decades have enforced,

That you're: 'the man' of might,

It must be you who are right.

I don't like:

That I am jealous.

All you proclaim is: love;

But from where I stand,

I see none in my above.
