Being a teacher is tough and it's getting tougher. It has to be a calling or you will suffocate. Learners have no idea...

Starting the School Day

They arrived.

En masse.

One period:

Registration.

Arguing

Bickering

Cattiness

Defense

One me.

30 of them.

One outcome set:

The register.

Energy wasted

Frustrated

Giving up

Harrassed

They leave.

I sit.

Entire day ahead:

I’ve registered.

I must persevere

Just continue

Keep going

Love, faith, hope… I pray

One child.

One class.

Improve their chance:

For a higher register.

Minding

New

Obfuscate

P’s and Q’s.
